The “Nino Arietti” Library is a key resource for the Province’s scientific community and the wider public, specializing in the fields represented by the Museum.

Scientific specialization

The collection of the library “Nino Arietti” consists of:

  • a modern collection of monographs and books of scientific dissemination;
  • a large number of specialised periodicals;
  • historical collection which belonged to important Italian and Brescia-based scholars.

Given the nature of its holdings, the Library fulfills a dual mission of preservation and dissemination. As part of the Urban Library System, it provides a full range of related services.

The Library works closely with the Museum and manages the exchange of its publications with those issued by Italian and international scientific institutions.

To engage younger audiences, the Library also promotes reading initiatives and offers dedicated spaces designed specifically for children.
