The Museum of Natural Sciences promotes and supports – through specific forms of collaboration with universities – activities of study, experimentation with best educational practices, research, and outreach related to the disciplinary fields of Earth Sciences and Life Sciences. For these activities, access to the museum’s storage facilities is granted, which house the collections of the geology, botany, and zoology sections.
From a perspective of scientific dissemination and cultural generativity, a copy of the documentation produced through these collaborations (such as degree thesis and scientific publications) is to be deposited with the museum, becoming part of the holdings of the Museum of Natural Sciences Library. The Museum positions and presents itself as a service to the community and to its development.
